- Abnormality Log
Old Faith and Promise (T-09-97) is a ZAYIN Abnormality tool that takes the form of 2 marble lizard or chameleon-like creatures that change color depending on the current interaction. Both are divided into jigsaw-piece likes section, with 4 "puzzle pieces" connecting to form a single creature, including their tails. Their heads are not styled like puzzle pieces despite being connected the body. Each head has a single rhombus shaped eye with a slit pupil. The lizards are on opposite sides of a bubble-like orb, one on top connected to the ceiling of the containment chamber with one rope on each other its three segments, while the other holds itself upside down to the bottom of the bubble.
Information[]
Ability:[]
Old Faith and Promise's ability consists of sending an employee, along with a small amount of energy as the cost, to bet their E.G.O. Weapon, which will be placed in a small orb that will enter to the Abnormality's orb. Once inside, the object will start to shake side to side while making resonant noises. There are two possible outcomes at the end of this process:
- Good Result (Great probability of success): The Abnormality turns golden and shines, as the employee stares in awe and bursts into happiness, cheering as they wait for the Abnormality to return their E.G.O. Weapon back. The weapon will get boosted damage by a percentage, increasing the Max. and Min. damage power of the weapon by an average amount (Small base damage will get a low increase of damage and big base damage will get a higher boost).
- Bad Result (Small probability of failure): The Abnormality turns pitch black, returning back to its spot as the employee gets on their knees, bearing a painful expression of despair. The employee will then get back up and walk out of the Containment Unit. The E.G.O. Weapon will be lost and can only be recovered by buying another from the respective Abnormality. Resetting the day or restarting from the Memory Imprint day will not return the lost weapon.
The process can't start without Energy and the power boost will only last for the day. One E.G.O. Weapon can be boosted up to four times per day, and further boosts will have no additional effect. The Abnormality doesn't work when sending in an agent wielding the Standard Riot Stick weapon.

Trivia[]
- This Abnormality is the first one that can change the stats of an E.G.O. Equipment directly, by boosting the damage of a weapon, as well the first one to destroy E.G.O. Equipment.
- Binah's Sephirah Upgrade doesn't prevent the destruction of the E.G.O., as the employee doesn't die.
- The name of this Abnormality might be inspired from an incident named "Kiri's Belief and Promise", which caused chaos to the Korean PC RPG game "Dungeon and Fighter" (Dungeon Fighter Online). An equipment reinforcement system in the game resulted in one of two outcomes: success, increasing the stats of the equipment; or failure, reducing the stats by several upgrade stages or even destroying the equipment if the upgrade level was high enough. "Kiri's Promise" was a consumable item released at one point in the game which prevented equipment upgrade failure from taking any effect on the item being upgraded (ie, it would neither be destroyed nor lose any stats).
- Classified as 'Trauma', this Abnormality attempts to show through its logs how those who expected great rewards, were often left with betrayed hearts; while those who tried without high expectations would receive unexpected rewards. This Abnormality represents this clearly, as repeated uses might leave the player with vastly upgraded equipment, or the loss of their E.G.O.
- This is 1 of 2 Abnormalities that hang from the ceiling. The other is Spider Bud.
Bugs[]
- This tool saves the entire E.G.O "inventory" when destroying an E.G.O weapon, allowing one to save or permanently destroy E.G.O without having to memory repository.[needs reference]
